Sports & Fitness Expo
The big weekend starts here

All athletes will attend the Expo to pick up their race packet, check in their bike, and enjoy the pre-race festivities to kick-off race weekend.

Packet Pickup, including Athlete Briefings, and Bike Check-In are mandatory for all athletes. While family, friends and spectators are not allowed inside the secured athlete areas, the Expo/Packet Pickup venue is free and open to the public. Review the information below for more details.

Note: there will be no race morning Packet Pickup or Bike Check-In. All athletes must retrieve their race packet during Packet Pickup hours and check in their bike on Saturday, September 30.

Course Talks are optional but highly encouraged for athletes to attend a session. Note: the Athlete Briefing video is MANDATORY for all athletes to review prior to race day. Watch here.

Important Notables
A valid photo ID is required in order to receive the participant packet.
Volunteers will affix a pre-assigned wristband to each athlete’s wrist which MUST be worn throughout race weekend. It is required for all athletes to wear their wristband in order to be permitted into Transition, on-course, and during bike check-out after the race.
All athletes must sign the USA Triathlon waiver provided onsite at Packet Pickup.

Athlete Items
Athletes will receive custom-assigned race items, non-transferable to any other athlete:
Athlete Wristband
Timing Chip and Strap
Swim Cap
Bike, Helmet & Gear Bag Stickers
Run Bib Number
VIP and/or Life Time Member Items (if applicable)

Athletes will then receive the following items from a separate area in
the Expo:
T-Shirt
Goody Bag
Clear Transition & Swim Start Gear Check Bags

Packet Pickup Venue

Follow the flow to ensure you hit all the essential areas for pre-race prep (see map below):

  1. Sign the USAT waiver
  2. Present the signed waiver and photo ID to retrieve your race packet
  3. Pick up your Timing Chip and strap. Relay Teams – the swimmer must pick up one chip for the team.
  4. Attend a Course Talk for race tips and Q&A sessions
  5. Pick up your t-shirt and goodie bag

Other Packet Pickup Highlights:

Drop off your bike in the Bike Valet as you enter – be sure to keep your valet ticket!

Look up your Race Number – you will need to know this to pick up your race packet

Bring your signed waiver to the Packet Pickup tent – enter the area corresponding to your race number
– VIPs can head straight to the designated VIP area
– Need race changes? Head straight to Solutions

Bike Check-In

Athletes MUST attend Packet Pickup prior to checking in their bike. The race-issued athlete wristband and bike stickers are required prior to entry into the Transition area.

Transition Tours

Tours of the Transition area will be hosted on Saturday, September 30 running approximately every 20 minutes during Bike Check-in. Experienced volunteers will give athletes a walk-through to get a lay of the land including bike racking, swim in/bike out/bike in/run out locations and more!
