Sports & Fitness Expo
The big weekend starts here

All athletes will attend the Expo to pick up their race packet, attend mandatory Athlete Briefings, and enjoy the pre-race festivities to kick-off race weekend.

Packet Pickup, including Athlete Briefings, and Bike Check-In are mandatory for all athletes. While family, friends and spectators are not allowed inside the Athlete Briefing rooms or in Transition, the Expo is free and open to the public. Review the information below for more details.

Note: there will be no race morning Packet Pickup or Bike Check-In. All athletes must retrieve their race packet during Packet Pickup hours and check in their bike on Saturday, September 30.

Athlete Briefings – America’s Hall I, 3rd Level
Mandatory Athlete Briefings will take place during Expo hours.

Briefings begin every 30 minutes, beginning at 12:00 pm and 10:00 am, respectively. Details subject to change.

Specialty Briefings:
First-Timers – Friday 2:00 – 3:00 pm, Saturday 12:00 – 1:00 pm
Pros – Saturday 1:00 – 2:00 pm (Clinton Room)
Paratris – Saturday 3:00 – 4:00 pm (Clinton Room)

Athletes must attend an Athlete Briefing and receive a ‘completion’ hand stamp in order to proceed to Packet Pickup. A valid photo ID is required in order to receive the participant packet.

At Packet Pickup, volunteers will affix a pre-assigned wristband to each athlete’s wrist which MUST be worn throughout race weekend. It is required for all athletes to wear their wristband in order to be permitted into Transition, on-course, and during bike check-out after the race.

Athlete Items
Athletes will receive custom-assigned race items, non-transferable to any other athlete:
Athlete Wristband
Timing Chip and Strap
Swim Cap
Body Marking Tattoos (one for each upper arm)
Bike, Helmet & Gear Bag Stickers
Run Bib Number
VIP and/or Life Time Member Items (if applicable)

Athletes will then receive the following items from a separate area in
the Expo:
T-Shirt
Goodie Bag
Clear Transition Bags

For those riding their bike to the Expo, complimentary Bike Valet will be available on the second level of the New York Hilton Midtown prior to entering the Expo hall.

Bike Check-In

Athletes MUST attend Packet Pickup prior to checking in their bike. The race-issued athlete wristband and bike stickers are required prior to entry into the Transition area.

Transition Tours

Tours of the Transition area will be hosted on Saturday, July 23rd, the first session beginning at 12:00 pm and the last at 5:00 pm, running approximately every 20 minutes. Experienced volunteers will give athletes a walk-through to get a lay of the land including bike racking, swim in/bike out/bike in/run out locations and more!
