C-DIFFERENT FOUNDATION

C Different

C Different appreciates and challenges you, to see differently, by putting you in the picture with your support of our vision impaired athletes.

Ten years ago, when Matt Miller guided our first blind athlete, he knew he had found both a passion and a need. Today, we have guided athletes all over the country.  We have helped young kids run 5k’s and older athletes to do an Ironman and everything in between.  On any given weekend throughout the country there is a C Different athlete competing in an event.

Through collaboration with sighted athletes and generous donors such as yourself, we partner with members of the blind and vision impaired community to help them live outside the box moments, by helping them to compete in athletic events they never believed they would have the opportunity to participating in.

It is your generosity and belief in our mission that enables us to perform this work, and we are deeply grateful for  your partnership.  Please contact David Adame at davidadame@cdifferent.org for more information.

Sharsheret2012

Sharsheret, Hebrew for “chain”, is a national not-for-profit organization supporting young women and their families, of all Jewish backgrounds, facing breast cancer at every stage—before, during, and after diagnosis.   As part of Team Sharsheret, our athletes become goodwill partners in the fight against breast cancer as they raise money and awareness to support our 11 free national programs and services.  These funds will enable Sharsheret to continue to provide educational resources and offer support to thousands who are diagnosed with or at risk of developing breast cancer.

For more information and to apply for your Team Sharsheret slot, please e-mail athletes@sharsheret.org with your name, phone number, and a brief description of yourself and why you want to join Team Sharsheret.

SONS OF HD

Sons of HD 2012

Two words can represent the feelings shared by those at risk for Huntington's Disease (HD): fear and hope. The founders of Sons of HD were driven by fear to spread hope and awareness of this little known disease and to support funds-starved researchers.

HD, a hereditary degenerative neurological disorder affecting some 10,000 Americans, leaves children of sick parents with a 50% chance of inheriting the illness. There is no accredited proven treatment or cure for this always-fatal disease which can devastate entire bloodlines.  Two of the founders of our group are at risk, and together with our other founders we are motivated to make this the last generation with HD.

Sons of HD and it's racing team Tri for Alice offer individual race entries for $2,500 minimum raised and relay entries for $3,000 minimum raised. We work hard, play hard, stay positive and Have Fun. Are you in?

Please email Scott at scott@sonsofhd.com for more information.
