Packet Pickup Procedures

Briefings take place every half hour on the half hour.
- The last briefing on Friday begins at 7pm.
- The last briefing Saturday begins at 5pm.
- You can not pick up your packet without first attending a race briefing. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Race Briefing: For your safety and the safety of all participants, all athletes are required to attend a mandatory race briefing. Each briefing will last 30 minutes, and you may NOT enter the room once the briefing has already started. Once the briefing is over and you exit the briefing room, your hand will be stamped, to indicate that you have attended a briefing.
Yellow Cards: After hand stamp is verified, race staff will ask you to present government issued photo identification (driver’s license, military ID, passport, etc.), sign 3 waivers and verify that your personal information is correct. You will either be required to show your current USAT card or pay the $10 one day USAT fee if it was not paid with your race entry fee. Take your yellow card with you, as you'll need it at the next table.
Packet Pick-up: Your hand stamp will be verified again, and you will present your yellow card to our race staff at the Packet tables sorted by race number. Your race number is printed on your yellow card that you're holding. You'll receive your packet and we'll keep your yellow card.
The race packet will include the following: course maps, race instructions, USAT rules, helmet number, race number, bike number, swim cap, wave start list, safety pins and twist ties. The wrist band will be put on your wrist by race management and is mandatory for the race. This shows that you are a registered athlete and it gives you access to the transition area. It will be marked with your race number. DO NOT remove your wrist band until your bike has been removed from transition, after the race. Your timing chip is NOT in your packet (distributed at Swim Start race morning).
Each athlete will be given a clothing bag; this bag will be marked with your name and race number. The clothing bags will be collected at the swim start and brought to the finish area. Any items that you wear to the swim start; you can put in this bag and collect at the finish.
Goodie bags & Race T-shirts. Each athlete will receive a race t-shirt and Nautica drawstring goodie bag filled with samples from our sponsors. In order to receive your goodie bag and t-shirt you must present your packet and have your wristband on. Each packet will be marked once you've received your goodies.
This event is scored with the ChampionChip timing system. ChampionChips will be distributed at swim start race morning. Body marking will be done at transition and swim start race morning. YOU MAY NOT USE PERSONAL CHIPS!
