What is the Ivy Tri Championship?
The 4th Ivy Tri Championship will be held as part of the NYCTRI Sunday, July 18, 2010. All current undergraduates, grad students, faculty, and alumni from each Ivy League school are eligible.
You don't have to be on a team - just race for your school!
Is there an additional registration fee?
No extra fee. Enter the Nautica NYC Triathlon, check Ivy League, enter your school name and graduating year and you're in!
How does this work?
The Ivy Tri Championship is a race within a race. You can compete for your school and you are also eligible for awards in your age group, elite amateur, or pro division.
Who is the reigning champion?
How many people can compete for each school?
Come one, come all, there’s no limit This is an inclusive race. If you're a freshman and fast, or fifty and not-so-fast, it’s okay. We aren’t going to check dental records.
How does my school team win the Championship?
The lowest combined time from the top five finishers from each school count toward the Championship. The top five must include at least one man and one woman. The name of the winning school goes on the perpetual trophy that stays in
When do I enter?
If you are currently registered in the Nautica New York City Triathlon and attended or work at one of the eight competing schools, contact Hunter@Korffenterprises.com and he’ll put you on your schools roster. If you went to an Ivy League school and you are NOT a registered NYCTRI athlete . . . sorry, too late.
Can I wear a school jersey?
You bet! Look like a team. Get creative, have fun, paint your face, or your whole body! Just make sure you get waterproof body paint.
